CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION  (CPR) is an essential, life- saving technique used in many emergent situations. CPR is used when a person has stopped breathing and/ or their heart has stopped beating. The sudden cardiac arrest victim will be unresponsive and unconscious and needs you you act immediately by initiating CPR. 

What is an arrhythmia?

An arrhythmia is an electrical disturbance in the hearts normal rate and rhythm causing the heart to beat too fast (tachycardia), too slow (bradycardia) or with an irregular rhythm. There are many types of arrhythmias, most of which are harmless. However, some arrhythmias can be very serious or even life threatening.
